Close the Door to Worries
(Jesus on the Shore by Maja Lisa Engelhardt - found here) |
“Worry weighs upon the spirit, the heart, and the whole soul. It poisons existence. Whatever you have to do, whatever your material or spiritual responsibilities, do not engage your soul in worry and never permit worry to trouble you. It is a lack of faith and confidence in God. All that you have to do in religion is His own work. Generously do what you can, knowing that success depends solely on Him, not on your abilities. If you do not search for your own glory in anything, you will live in an inalterable peace, even if you have much to do. There is only one thing to fear: sin. The ways of God are not our ways. Jesus triumphs by failures. Nothing has changed for centuries.”
