The Quatrain

Original German:

     Ein Herze das zu Grund

     Gott still ist, wie er will,
     Wird gern von ihm berührt—
     Es ist sein Lautenspiel.

English Translation:

     A heart that to its very depths

     is still for God, as He wills,
     Is gladly touched by Him—
     It is His lute-play (His instrument).
