Divine Mercy

"Our Lord had risen from the dead, and He met many people who had failed Him badly. The apostles and the disciples had run away and left Him. Except for His Mother, the holy women, and John, He had gone to the Cross alone. He came back from the dead, and He was merciful and kind to those who had failed Him...

Prayer:
O Lord Jesus Christ, the Mercy of God, You descended into this world to reveal the Father to us in ways that no one else ever did or ever could. Your message of mercy is an immense consolation to those struggling to practice their faith who have dear ones and friends who have been enticed by the spirit of the world...

We pray for our world, which appears to be in such desperate need of divine forgiveness. This new century has begun with acts of violence and terrorism, but behind all of the dreadful pictures and scenes is a face that is calm, peaceful, and loving, calling to us. You say to us in that image, 'Come to Me.' And we say in response, 'Jesus, I trust in You.' Amen"
