Thank you very much. There is another post from O'Brien titled “Silence” and also one from Kierkegaard with the same title that speak along these lines. I also liked the emptiness theme from this quote. I think Nouwen wrote in something I read (maybe the Genesee Diary) that we must actively/daily make room in our soul, we must empty ourselves in order to make room for the Holy Spirit to fill us and live through us.
