Your Eternal Will
“Just one thing I ask You, Lord: fill up my prayer with what
belongs to You; let what belongs to me be submerged, and put in its place what
belongs to You, which You can take from wherever You will: from Your days of
tranquil earthly contentment, from the agony on the Mount of Olives, from the
sufferings of the Cross, from Your incomprehensible procession from the Father
in the Trinity, or from Your return to the Father—from wherever You will, so
long as it belongs to You, not distorted by my weakness, not inhibited by my
sin, but only entering into Your eternal will.
Not my will, Lord. Not any more.”
