Love

(Painting by Osnat Tzadok - found here)
“Right love is steady in its indivisibility. It is so indivisible, in fact, that in the end there is no longer any clearly discernible boundary-marker between love given and love received. Even more: this unity also includes humility. This humility is not dispersed, and it alone enables love to become what it already was in the beginning: a gift of the Lord having a definite form.

Enlarging the circle does not mean merely drawing as many distant points around it as possible, but rather drawing all these points, wherever they may lie, into the communion of the one circle.

Unless you have some sense of God’s mercy, you cannot possibly say anything about man’s sufferings.

Our faith is meant to be strong enough to understand everything: even hatred and unbelief. Then we will love the haters and the unbelievers and ask God to do His work.”
~Adrienne von Speyr (from Lumina – New Lumina)
