You know, in those days too they made

a golden calf and worshipped it.

Trust, sincerity or love,

such basic necessities of existence,

thrown aside like old sticks or worn-out boots,

they became beasts,

fighting one another, simply wearing human masks.

The world, with Aaron’s hordes in charge,

became a place of submissiveness.

But even then there were people

trusting, waiting for Moses to come down from Sinai,

simply, in solitude.

Ah, Canaan,

flowing with milk and honey!

Ah, far off and how hard to reach.
